There are two types of race sailed at LLSC on a typical weekend – ’round the cans’, termed ‘Points Races’, and ’round the Islands’, termed ‘Islands Races’ – for Keelboats in 2012 Islands races are a combination of both cans and islands.
The Achilles and Cruisers have four series of Islands courses, whereas the dinghies and Flying Fifteens have one ‘Islands Race’ on one day, and three ‘Points Races’ on a Saturday/two ‘Points Races’ on a Sunday.
The General Handicap Series is sailed at the start and finish of the season.
