Sail Training

Sail Training

LLSC runs training session exclusively for members. We cater for all abilities from new starts to serious racers.

The training sessions are run on most Saturday mornings throughout May and June 9.30am-12.30pm. The club is unique in the way the training sessions are organised by getting parents trained and involved in running the sessions with advice and support from VCC/RYA.

We follow the Volvo Championship Club and RYA training agenda as much as possible, focusing on developing and improving racing skills.

Many of our junior fleet have their own boats. We currently have the largest racing oppie fleet in Scotland competing in the Scottish Traveller Series as well as some travelling further afield to National and International events in oppies and toppers.

Club racing has a slow handicap start in the Points Series.

LLSC have a fleet of club boats which include four training oppies, four toppers and an RS200 – members are welcome to come along and use these boats.

If you would like to get involved either in coaching or learning to sail, either as a junior or an adult, contact Jamie Crocket, email:llsc.training@btinernet.com
